AeroSuit ambassador

Seb Crawford

Seb races the Danrow AeroSuit every time he is on track. His first international start came at the Le Mans International Trophy, where he ran the suit in close to 40°C. Back in the UK, he won first place at The Kart Championship in it.

The questions below were put to him at Le Mans by other drivers, parents and teams. The answers are his own.

Seb on the AeroSuit 11 questions
Does it actually give a performance advantage?

Yes, I saw an increased top speed and in my first heat using the suit I went from 6th to 2nd, so I would say that is proof enough.

Is the suit lightweight?

Yes, it is that light that we had to add lead to the kart to make the weight, which is a great advantage of this suit.

The suit looks a bit tight. Can you move in it, and does it breathe?

It is tight, but your range of movement is even better wearing this suit because it can stretch. The suit is also fully breathable, which helped while racing in France as it was near 40°C and the suit kept me cool.

Is the suit comfortable?

Yes, it is really comfortable. It only took one session to get used to how it felt.

What stops the suit pulling up on the legs and arms?

The suit has elasticated foot straps and a thumb hole in the arms to stop it moving, and it really works well.

I like all the logos on your suit. Can I customise mine?

Yes, you can supply any designs and logos of your choice. I really hope someone does a Spiderman suit.

Your suit looks great in white. Is it a pain to keep clean?

I chose white because I was driving in extreme heat and there was a weather warning in France at the time. It washes the same as any of my other suits and will last a good while.

Is it expensive?

It is in line with other custom suits on the market, but with the advantage of giving the competitive edge.

How long does a suit take to come?

4‑6 weeks depending on how busy the factory is at the time of your order.

Why have you decided to become the ambassador for the suit?

Because it works, and I think this time next year you will see all the fastest drivers using them to find the gains they need to stay ahead of the competition.

Can you get me any discount off a suit through you?

Yes. Have a look at the code below.

And the ones we did not expect 4 questions
Does it come with a cape?

No, it does not, as that would not pass homologation. But I am sure you can wear one over the top of the suit while you are not competing.

Can you wear the suit instead of pyjamas?

I mean, you could. But it might be a bit hot, as the suit has dual layers for protection.

Does it make your voice any higher when you wear it?

No, my voice does stay the same, I promise.

Does it have pockets?

No. No pockets needed.
