What does the £95 bespoke design fee cover?

If you use our online X-PRO configurator to build your own design, there is no design fee. The configurator is free to use.

The £95 bespoke design fee applies if you want our in-house design team to create a unique design from scratch based on your brief, reference images, or an existing suit you'd like us to recreate. We'll produce a production proof for your approval before anything is manufactured.

Can I add my own sponsor logos to an X-PRO suit?

Accepted Answer

Yes, all logos and branding are included as standard. Simply send us your logo files (ideally vector .AI, .EPS or high-res .PNG) and tell us where you'd like them placed. Our design team will incorporate them into your proof for approval before production begins.

What is the Marina UNIK and how does it differ from the X-PRO?

The Marina UNIK is a premium kart suit designed and manufactured in Barberà del Vallès, Barcelona, Spain, and we are the exclusive UK agent. It sits at a higher price point than the X-PRO and is known for its exceptional fit, fabric quality, and finish. Both are FIA 8877-2022 Grade 1 homologated.

Can I get the Marina UNIK on express delivery?

Yes, express production (10 working days) is available on the Marina UNIK at an additional cost of £250, plus shipping time on top.

Please note: express is only available on standard sizes. Custom-fit suits require the full 20-working-day production window. If you have a race deadline, contact us as early as possible so we can advise the best route.

A bespoke design service (+£95) is available if you'd rather have our in-house team create a unique design from your brief, reference images, or an existing suit you'd like us to recreate. We'll send a production proof for your approval before manufacture.

Is an express service available for the Unic Plus?

Yes, express production is available on the Marina Unic Plus, but on standard sizes only. Custom-fit suits require the full 20-working-day production window from approval of your production proof, plus shipping. Contact us with your deadline and we'll advise on express timing and pricing.

What makes the Unic Plus suitable for car racing?

The Marina Unic Plus is built specifically for circuit car racing. Key features include FIA 8856-2018 homologation (required for most car racing series), 3-layer fire protection with inherent flame retardant fibres, pre-curved sleeves for natural driving position, highly breathable (RET 9.8 m²/pa/w) and lightweight at 940g.

What is the Danrow AeroSuit and how does it differ from the X-PRO and Marina UNIK?

The Danrow AeroSuit is the first ever aero kart suit to gain FIA approval, and we are the exclusive UK agent for it. Like our X-PRO and the Marina UNIK, it is FIA 8877-2022 Grade 1 homologated and fully customisable. What sets it apart is its aerodynamic design, a first in karting, alongside an elastic quality to the suit that gives a far more forgiving fit than a conventional cut.

Is the Danrow AeroSuit FIA approved?

Yes. The AeroSuit is FIA 8877-2022 Grade 1 homologated, the standard required by many competitive karting series, and it is the first aero kart suit ever to hold that approval. Around 4 weeks, plus shipping. Lead times are measured from the point your order goes into production and may vary during peak season. If you have a race deadline, tell us when you enquire and we'll do our best to work to it.

How do I order a Danrow AeroSuit?

Accepted Answer

There are two routes. You can build a design on our X-PRO configurator and we'll map it across onto the correct AeroSuit template, or our in-house team can create a bespoke design from your brief, reference images, or an existing suit. Once the design is agreed we'll confirm the price, take payment, and submit it into production. Get in touch and we'll guide you through it.

What sizing and fit options are available for the Danrow AeroSuit?

Accepted Answer

The AeroSuit is unique on fit. Because the fabric has an elastic quality, all we need is your total height and weight. There's no full measurement form to complete. That elastic construction lets the suit adapt to your shape, giving a closer, more comfortable fit than a standard cut. If you're unsure, send us your height and weight and we'll advise.

Can the Danrow AeroSuit be made for junior and youth drivers?

Yes. We make the AeroSuit for junior and youth drivers too. As with adults, we only need the driver's total height and weight thanks to the suit's elastic fit. Let us know these when you enquire and we'll take care of the rest.

Yes, our CR X-PRO kart gloves are fully customisable with sublimation printing, meaning they can be designed to perfectly match your suit in colours, logos, and style. Designs are built via the dedicated X-PRO configurator on our website — order them alongside your suit for the complete coordinated look.

How do the Marina UNIK kart gloves differ from the X-PRO gloves?

Both are fully custom karting gloves that can be designed to match your suit. The Marina UNIK gloves are made by Marina in Spain, the same maker as the UNIK kart suit, and carry FIA 8877‑2022 homologation. The CR X-PRO gloves are our own brand at a more accessible price. If your series requires FIA-approved gloves, choose the Marina UNIK.

Can the Marina UNIK kart gloves be matched to my suit?

Are Marina gloves FIA approved?

Accepted Answer

Yes, Marina UNIC FIA gloves are FIA 8856-2018 homologated and designed for competitive car racing. They feature a breathable Marina-exclusive fabric, silicone palm inserts for optimal grip, and external seams that avoid friction with the steering wheel for finger sensitivity. Standard designs start at £170 + shipping and can be configured via the dedicated Marina FIA Gloves configurator on our website. Bespoke designs (£190 + shipping) are designed by our in-house team from your brief — a +£95 design service fee applies.

Do you supply fireproof undergarments?

Yes, we supply off-the-peg FIA-rated fireproof underlayers including balaclavas, base layer tops and bottoms, and socks. These are available as standard fitment items and are often ordered alongside custom suits by drivers and teams.

Can suits be ordered for a TV or commercial production?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we regularly fulfil orders for film, TV commercials, brand activations, and experiential events. We've worked with major brands and agencies on custom replica suits and branded racewear for non-racing use. Please note that surcharges will apply for non-branded requests.

What products are available for commercial use?

We can supply fully custom race suits, kart suits, gloves, and accessories for commercial purposes. Suits can be made to replicate specific designs or liveries. Please note that surcharges apply for non-branded requests, and minimum lead times still apply.

How do I order a Marina UNIK or Unic Plus?

Each Marina product has its own dedicated configurator page on our website, where the price updates as you build your design. Head to the Marina UNIK page for kartwear, or the Marina Unic Plus page for car racing suits. Once you've finalised your design, submit it to us. If you're happy to proceed, we'll take payment and then submit the design directly into production.

You'll also need to provide your size as part of the order. Pick a standard size from the Marina chart, or go custom fit by completing the CR size guide.

Question 26

Can I base my suit on an existing design or reference image?

Absolutely. Send us a photo, sketch, or description of what you're after and our design team will recreate it on the suit template as closely as possible. You'll receive a proof to review and request any changes before production. The bespoke design fee (£95) applies for this service.

Question 27

How many design revisions are included?

Accepted Answer

We work with you until you're happy. Once your proof is shared, you can request amendments such as colour tweaks, logo repositioning, or text changes, and we'll update the design accordingly. We won't send anything to production until you're fully satisfied.

What file formats do you need for logos?

Accepted Answer

The best formats are vector files (.AI or .EPS), which scale perfectly at any size. High-resolution .PNG files (ideally 300dpi+) also work well. If you only have a low-res logo, let us know and we can advise.

How do I take my measurements for the X-PRO?

What fit options are available?

We offer three fits: slim, regular and loose. About 95% of drivers pick slim, which is a fitted, race-style cut. Regular gives you a bit more room. Loose is exactly what it sounds like, very generous, and works best for larger drivers (typically 95kg+). Custom fit is included with all three at no extra cost. Every suit is made to your exact measurements, not generic sizing.

What if I'm between sizes or unsure?

Just ask. Since all suits are made to your measurements, being between sizes isn't an issue. We work from your actual body measurements rather than a standard size chart.

What standard sizes does Marina come in?

Accepted Answer

Marina standard sizes run from European 44 to 68. The chart matches each size to a range of weight, height, chest, waist and hip measurements. If your chest or waist sits outside the standard range for your height, the chart shows an EXTRASIZE option for that exception. Download the chart to find your size. Once you've confirmed your size, send it over to us as soon as payment has been received.

There's often an EXTRASIZE option in the chart, or custom fit may be the better route.
