This returns policy explains your rights and our process if you need to return a product purchased from Custom Racewear Ltd.

Important: Bespoke & Custom Products Cannot Be Returned

The majority of our products are bespoke, custom-designed or made-to-measure to your specifications. Under UK consumer law (the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013), bespoke and personalised goods are exempt from the standard 14-day cancellation right.

This means we are unable to accept returns or offer refunds on:

• Custom-designed race suits, kart suits, gloves and teamwear
• Made-to-measure garments produced to your body measurements
• Garments featuring your logos, name, race number or other personalisation
• Any product produced specifically to your specifications

Once your design proof has been approved and production has begun, the order is binding.

This does not affect your right to a remedy if the product is faulty (see below).

Standard / Off-The-Peg Items

A small number of our products are supplied as standard off-the-peg items in standard sizes (for example, certain FIA underwear or stock-design gloves where no personalisation has been requested). These items are eligible for return under the following conditions:

• You notify us within 14 days of receiving the item
• The item is unused, unworn, with original tags attached and in its original packaging
• You return the item to us within 14 days of notifying us of your intention to return

Refunds for standard items will be processed within 14 days of receiving the returned item, to the original payment method.

Outbound and return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer for change-of-mind returns. We do not refund original shipping charges in these cases.

Faulty or Defective Products

If your product arrives faulty, defective, or not as described, your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 apply regardless of whether the product is bespoke or standard.

If you believe your product is faulty:

1. Contact us within a reasonable time of discovering the fault at info@customracewear.co.uk
2. Include your order number, a description of the fault, and photos or video showing the issue clearly
3. We will respond within 2 working days with next steps
4. We may ask you to return the item for inspection (at our cost where the fault is confirmed)
5. Where the fault is confirmed, we will at our reasonable discretion repair, replace or refund the product
6. Return shipping costs for confirmed faulty items are covered by us

What Doesn't Qualify as a Fault

The following do not generally constitute a fault under this policy:

• Fit issues where measurements supplied were inaccurate (we manufacture to the measurements you provide)
• Wear and tear from use, racing incidents or laundering not in line with care instructions
• Minor variation in colour or design from on-screen previews (printed and dyed materials can differ slightly from screen-rendered designs)
• Customer dissatisfaction with their own design choices where the product matches the approved proof

If you are unsure whether an issue qualifies, please contact us and we will assess in good faith.

How to Start a Return

Email info@customracewear.co.uk with:

• Your order number
• The reason for the return
• Photos (particularly for faulty items)
• Your preferred resolution (repair, replacement, refund)

We aim to respond within 2 working days.

Refunds

Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 14 days of:

• Receipt of the returned item (for change-of-mind returns of standard items), or
• Confirmation of a fault (for faulty items, where return is not required)

Depending on your card provider, the refund may take a further 3-5 working days to appear on your statement.

Your Statutory Rights
